Water Whistle: Where the Birds and Water Spirits Sing to Each Other

The Whistling Bottle is a prehistoric instrument found only in South America, in the norther Andes.

The oldest was found by archeologists in the area of Ecuador in burial sites dating over 3000 years. The sounds they produce were originally created to represent the sounds of the local birds.

However, when you hear these haunting sounds you are transported to a different dimension where the birds and water spirits sing to each other in dissonant harmony.

These vessels are also a representation of the four elements, Earth is moulded and transformed into a vessel, Fire gives the vessel a solid and permanent form, Water and Air are the mediums through which the vessel makes its otherworldly sound.
