This is a time to dance together, make music together, make art together, create ceremony together, experience the healing power of Nature and Sound together!!
We invite you to join us in the company of friends, in a space where each person can feel the embrace and support of the community, the joy of being together in love and acceptance creating an environment where Nature and Sound are the Medicine!
We dream of people in a circle, sharing life. Dancing together, singing together, making music together, offering each other our gifts, sharing and holding space. A space where each person can feel the embrace and support of the community, the joy of being together in love and acceptance creating an environment where Nature and Sound are the 'main attraction'. Here we can rest and restore our whole being.
Our 5 days together will be spent at the banks of the Genal River within the parish of Jubrique. A small but lively village at the edge of the Sierra Bermeja in Southern Andalucía, Spain. 45 minutes from the Costal del Sol, nestled amongst Chestnut trees, Oaks, Cork trees, Pines and many other native trees and shrubs, the Genal Valley is a little paradise. Camping San Juan have opened their space next to the river, exclusively for use to gather and share our gifts.
Sound Medicine Festival was borne of a dream...
Meet the dreamers: Tom Soltron & Abby Delsol of Tone of life
Just click on our names to read more about us...
Nature informs how we create and perceive sound. Over the years, there have been multiple systems set up to unify sound, often in a Western context and understanding of hertz, and universal tunings to them. We rely on earlier and more primal origins of sound based in nature and the elements (air, fire, water, ether, earth.), and our direct relationship with it.
Sound Medicine Festival is that return to a more primal, intuitive and felt way of perceiving the vibration that unites and heals us. We live in a modern world, with many new technological tools available to make sound, to share sound, to measure sound.... basically to 'science' sound and encapsulate everything into a concept or a system. It seems we have forgotten how to feel sound, how to bypass the mind and trust our most primal sense of intuition and non-analytical hearing... everything has to be explained, and what we overlook is that sometimes the explanation is just strengthening our mental approach and distancing us from just 'Feeling' though our skin, ears, eyes, nose, mouth and above all Heart.
We have always felt that living in community is the key to a simpler life, one where we can be who we are in this very moment, with all our eccentric creativity, grief and trauma. A space where no matter what, you are embraced as part of a family because life is so much simpler when there is full acceptance of who you are. Sound Medicine Festival is this space…
This is a time to dance together, make music together, make art together, create ceremony together, experience the healing power of Nature and Sound together.

KULAM Project
Tribal Experiment Workshop & Live Ecstatic Dance with Singing Circle
The Kulam project is a World traveling live music and dance experience, Created by Live one-time orchestra. Free-flowing, completely improvised, live dance music journey full of passion, invention, creativity, drama, and most of all, grooves that are impossible to ignore.
Kulam means “everyone” in Hebrew – We indeed involve everyone in the creative process. Without a rigid structure or sheet music to guide the players, they are completely naked and exposed before the audience, inviting the listener and the player alike into a space of total trust. The audience have a space to forget about their fears, limitations, preconceived notions, and surrender to the flow of music, like the musicians before their eyes do.
Witness the birth of human expression with your own eyes and ears, and let your body Be.
A Kulam Journey is a drug-free high; it’s a therapy session; it’s a meditation circle; it is an opportunity to connect to the most basic flow of life, to look deep into the root, and float in the swift current of just being, right here, right now. We collaborate with local talent and Producers wherever We go. No single Event is the same; not only is the music different, but also the musical languages and content are different; we aim to tap into the roots of the land where we are engaging – and expose and support local talent to our ideas while also learning from them..
Kulam Project was born on the island of Koh Phangan in Thailand in January 2019; it grew faster than anyone expected, and in a few months the full houses were getting out of hand. So far We have played hundreds of Events, with more than 500 musicians in many different countries and took thousands of people on an unforgettable trip.

Bartoš Eiliakas
Going Inward
Is a young instrumental music composer from Lithuania. Specializing mainly in keyboard instruments he connects the world of acoustic and digital sound. By using a synthesis of pianos, gongs, various string instruments, voice and electronica, he creates beautiful soundscapes that put the listener in a trance of bliss. Bartoš creates music with the intention of giving a unique experience for the listener. Instead of just giving music to hear, the audience is invited to participate in a journey through inner emotions, visions and everything that comes in the moment. With the aid of various rituals, cacao ceremonies, guided meditation or most importantly music, the participants are led into a deeper state of being and are encouraged to look inward.
With the release of "Ad Lucem", "Brittle" and "Kaleidoscopia" music albums, the composer shifts through various musical qualities and with the next studio album on the horizon, he hopes to bring something valuable to the infinitely wondrous and mystical world of sound and music.

Aga Strauss
Intuitive Eco Art Workshop
My name is Aga Strauss, I am a graduate of the Faculty of Industrial Design and Jewelry Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, Poland. After receiving my diploma with distinction in 1999, I dedicated all my professional life to designing furniture, jewelry and interior design working for local factories and designers. At that time I also was a full time mother of two lovely children and whenever I had any free time, mainly at night, I kept drawing and painting.
Who am I? An artist with a never ending migraine, who lives in the south of Spain working on her own project entitled AndaLUZya, which is creating art through deep introspection, as a kind of therapeutic expression, visualization of the trip deep inside herself and the intuitive creation of images inspired by insomnia and pain…
Aitanarte & Andros Ruz
Sufi Dancing with Live Music
Aitana:
"Aitanarte puts sacred dance in service to life as well as music. She has a deep, symbiotic connection with the ocean and the marine world, enabling her to scuba-dance with dolphins and whales in the wild. She is a devoted mother and loves to share Dances of Universal Peace in community as well as the Sufi devotional turn."
Andros:
Andros Ruz is a multi-instrumentalist musician, composer, producer and teacher. His beginnings with music date back to his early childhood where he was trained in classical and flamenco guitar in his hometown of Cordoba and later in Granada. It was in his adolescence that he felt an intense calling for ancient music and ethnomusicology. Today, this calling has become a passion and devotion, for which these musics have become a way of self-knowledge and inner transformation. For the past 10 years she has been dedicated to deepening the ritualistic use and healing potential of music, voice and sound, drawing inspiration from world traditions that have used music as a path to transcendence such as Nada Yoga, Sufi mysticism and Shamanism. He has participated in numerous gatherings, festivals and ceremonies as well as having extensive experience as a teacher of overtone singing and the use of the voice as a healing tool.

Clapping & Flamenco beats
I have been dancing Spanish folklore since I was little and minor percussion is the tool that has made me travel the world.
